ABOUT
DANNY’S STORY
Danny, a left-arm amputee since 1980, has never let this limit his passion or career. For over 40 years, he has taught waterskiing and barefoot skiing, helping more than 250 students develop their skills. He began waterskiing at 12 and barefoot skiing by 13, later competing in Ontario while building a lifelong coaching career.
Beyond water sports, Danny also excelled in adaptive alpine skiing. He served as head coach of the Alberta Adaptive Ski Racing program from 1992 to 1994 and later coached at Sun Peaks from 2012 to 2016. A Paralympian, he represented Canada in 1992 and competed internationally, demonstrating resilience and dedication to advancing adaptive sports.
